New Zealand Equestrian Supplies was established in 2021 by Jolene and Jessica Brechin who frequently found themselves spending hours searching the country and often overseas for essential products and brands that often weren’t in stock at local and national saddleries. 

 

Building on foundations of generational knowledge, Jolene grew up successfully competing in Showing, Dressage and Eventing and alongside her husband Paul (also a keen equestrian) this passion has passed onto daughter Jessica who has also competed across the same Equine disciplines with top level showing success having competed multiple times at the NZ Horse of the Year show as well as the Grand Nationals in Australia. Today their passion is focused on Showing and Dressage and now there is a third generation of Brechin expertise already well on her way to the top. Olivia (3) is pony mad and a massive part of how NZ Equestrian Supplies came to be, Jolene and Jessica are excited to give back to the sport they love by nourishing and helping competitors with the best brands and advice. Jess also is very busy nurturing other young riders by offering riding lessons, and her passion lies in teaching children to ride correctly from the very beginning.  

 

Team Brechin work tirelessly to elevate the sport of Showing in New Zealand. In addition to NZ Equestrian Supplies, Jo and Jess also host the  Brecland Park Equestrian shows that run throughout the year in Canterbury. These shows are a massive undertaking for Jess and Jo but the reward is always high as the events see competitors from all over the country come together to have fun with their horses and ponies.
